<br />August 1, 1978 page 4 <br />Council minutes <br /> <br />SEAL COAT CONTINUED <br /> <br />Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that Councilman DiLorenzo <br />was out of intensive care and allowed visitors. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Administrator's report be accepted and <br />placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS & <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />GAS TANKS <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked about gas tanks. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would have a <br />report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />TREE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked if it was <br />possible to have an ordinance permitting <br />only certain trees to be planted on pri- <br />vate property. <br />It was stated that the City can control <br />the trees required by subdividers, but <br />what a person puts in his own yard at <br />his expense is up to him. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was <br />still having complaints about the young <br />people who are abusing the parks. He <br />stated that the City needs to come up <br />with a program of some sort to control <br />the problem. <br />Mayor Waschak requested that Councilman <br />DelPizzo and Meier, City Attorney Joss <br />and some young people form a committee <br />to look into the problem and try to come <br />up with some solution. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that he was not <br />happy with the transferring of a public <br />works man to code enforcer. He stated <br />that the position should have been ad- <br />vertised when it became vacant. <br /> <br />Chief Munger stated that Mr. Linko, <br />the new CE officer was on an eligibility <br />list and this was how he was hired. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that whenever <br />a vacancy comes up it must be advertised. <br /> <br />PARK ABUSE <br /> <br />ADVERTISING OPENINGS <br />
