Regular Meeting, Louisville City Council, June 6, 1978

PAGE 5

LOUISVILLE JAYCEES
LIQUOR LICENSE SPECIAL
EVENTS

Councilman DiLorenzo moved that June 27,
1978, be set for the Public Hearing for
the Louisville Jaycees special events
liquor license. Seconded by Councilman
DiCarlo. Question called for. 4 ayes -
none opposed. Motion carried.

ANMARK REALTY LETTER

Councilman DelPizzo asked Administrator
Wurl if the City was really interested in
the mentioned property Administrator Wurl
advised him that our CBD plan, at some
future date, did include acquisition of
the property, as well as the rest of the
property south to the Standard Service
Station for expansion of parking area.
Councilman DelPizzo then expressed his con-
cern over exorbitant price and was opposed
to the proposal. Councilman Meier stated
his opposition also. Dennis Drumm stated
since the property was part of the CBD plan,
and if someone else did acquire the property,
and build a store, it would be almost im-
possible to obtain it. Therefore, he suggested
that Council consider negotiation. Mayor
Waschak also opposed the price of the property,
but should Council wish to negotiate he would
be in accord. Councilman DiCarlo agreed with
the other Council members that the price was
too high, but negotiations should take place
before total rejection of the proposal. After
discussion, Council agreed that staff negoti-
ate with Anmark Realty on price and report
back to Council at the June 27th meeting.

THE DEPOT LIQUOR LICENSE
RENEWAL

Councilman DiCarlo asked Attorney Joss if
the license was in order, then moved that
Jimken Inc. Depot Liquor License be renewed.
Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Roll Call
vote- DiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo yes, Meier yes,
DelPizzo yes. Motion carried.

Chief Munger introduced the new members of
the Police Department. Tim Griffin, Code
Enforcement Officer, Lori Schmidt, Secretary,
and Roqger Bradford, Code Enforcement Aide,
P.S.E. employee, funded by Boulder County.
Mayor Waschak, Council members, and all others
present welcomed them.

NEW MEMBERS OF THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT
