ORDINANCE #593 lIBRARY BOOK RETURN lIQUOR lICENSE - SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT STREET OVERLAY PROJECT STORM SEWER PROJECT Minutes - page 5 May 2, 1978 All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance #593 for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on first reading by title only. He stated that this ordinance was requested by the library as they have had difficulty with persons not returning the books and also moving from the state with the books. Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance #593 be ordered published as amended to include the penalty clause. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Attorney Joss stated that the Fire Dept. is requesting a special events permit for 3.2% beer sales. Councilman Caranci moved that the license be approved and public hearing set for May 16, 1978. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Meier yes, DiCarlo yes, Kilker yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, Dilorenzo yes. Motion carried. Attorney Joss stated that the Fire Dist. hearing was held and the judge has approved the petition and has agreed to set the election for the organization of the district. Councilman Dilorenzo moved that the City Attorney's report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that staff would like authorization from Council to proceed with plans and spe~ on the street overlay pro- ject and to call for bids. Councilman Caranci moved that the staff be allowed to proceed with plans and specs and to call for bids on the street over- lay project. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reviewed the plans for the storm sewer project for 1978. Councilman Caranci moved that the plans and specs for the storm sewer project con- tinue and staff call for bids on the pro- ject. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Motion carried.
