ORDINANCE #588 continued CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY CORRESPONDENCE COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS TRASH OF SUBDIVISIONS LF. INDUSTRIES BLASTING April 4, 1978 Minutes - page 5 After discussion Councilman Caranci withdrew his motion for the amendment. Councilman Kilker then withdrew his second on the motion to publish Ordinance #588, and Councilman Meier withdrew his motion to publish the ordinance. Councilman Caranci then moved that Ordinance #588 be tabled and brought back at the April 18,1978 Council meeting. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Attorney I s report be accepted an d pl aced on file. Seconded by Councilman Dilorenzo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reminded Council that April 8, 1978, is the ground breaking ceremony for the new elderly housing project. Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would like to have the City inform the developers to pick up all their scrap materials be- cause when the wind blows the trash flies allover the City. He suggested that if they do not comply, then the crew pick up the trash around the City and bill the developer. Councilman DiCarlo stated that the last time E.F.I. blasted in the county, we re- quested that it be discontinued and they stated that if it was a nuisance then it would be stopped. He stated that last week they blasted again. Councilman DiCarlo stated that the City should notify the sheriffs department and the com- pany to have them stop the blasting. Mr. Wurl stated that he has talked with the County Planning Dept. and they were going to check the matter out since it is against the County Zoning Ordinance.
