INDUSTRIES <br />BLASTING <br /> <br />April 4, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 5 <br /> <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci withdrew <br />his motion for the amendment. Councilman <br />Kilker then withdrew his second on the motion <br />to publish Ordinance #588, and Councilman <br />Meier withdrew his motion to publish the <br />ordinance. <br />Councilman Caranci then moved that Ordinance <br />#588 be tabled and brought back at the <br />April 18,1978 Council meeting. Seconded by <br />Councilman Meier. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Attorney I s report be accepted an d pl aced <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman Dilorenzo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reminded Council that April 8, 1978, <br />is the ground breaking ceremony for the <br />new elderly housing project. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Administrators report be accepted and <br />placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Meier. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would <br />like to have the City inform the developers <br />to pick up all their scrap materials be- <br />cause when the wind blows the trash flies <br />allover the City. <br />He suggested that if they do not comply, <br />then the crew pick up the trash around the <br />City and bill the developer. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that the last <br />time E.F.I. blasted in the county, we re- <br />quested that it be discontinued and they <br />stated that if it was a nuisance then it <br />would be stopped. He stated that last week <br />they blasted again. <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that the City should <br />notify the sheriffs department and the com- <br />pany to have them stop the blasting. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he has talked with the <br />County Planning Dept. and they were going to <br />check the matter out since it is against <br />the County Zoning Ordinance. <br />
