<br />FIRE AGREEMENT CONT'D <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />FHA MEETING - LHA <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #576 FLOOD PLAIN <br />PUBLIC HEARING 2ND READING <br /> <br />February 9, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 5 <br /> <br />that when Louisville is assisting, they <br />are covered with Louisville insurance <br />and Lafayette the same way; also that <br />the assisting department is available to <br />assist and follow the orders of the <br />home department. <br /> <br />After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved <br />that Council authorize the Mayor to sign <br />the Mutual Aid Agreement with the City <br />of Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department. <br />Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Steve Anderson stated that there was a <br />meeting with FHA on the final details <br />of the elderly housing unit. A bid <br />opening was held on January 25, 1978, <br />and he is sending a notice of intent <br />to award bid to Concrete Construction <br />& Placing Inc. in Greeley. <br />He stated that he signed a request for <br />obligation of funds for FHA stating <br />that LHA was unable to obtain the <br />necessary financing through conventional <br />sources. The loan application which <br />will be submitted to FHA will be for <br />the amount of $783,800, the entire pro- <br />ject cost. The loan will be a 50 year <br />loan at 6% interest. <br />He stated that he needed Council to <br />authorize the Mayor to sign the 5th <br />option extension for the land purchase. <br />After comments, Councilman DiCarlo <br />moved that the Mayor be authorized to <br />sign the extension option for the land <br />purchase. Seconded by Councilman <br />DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance on <br />second reading by title only. Mayor <br />Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />Attorney Joss stated that all proper <br />notices had been made. <br />There were no comments for or against <br />the ordinance. <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked that the Wood <br />Bros. area be checked as it has been <br />classified under flood plain and it <br />doesn't seem right. Mr. Wurl stated <br />that it is a lengthy process and that <br />the staff is working on it. <br />After comments the public hearing was <br />closed and Councilman Caranci moved that <br />
