City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 20, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA AND ON THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />Josh Olsen, resident, asked the Council to look into road safety and suggested <br />additional signage regarding speed safety and impairment and adding red-light <br />cameras. <br />Tawnya Samaroo, resident, asked Council to have discussions on emergency <br />evacuations, wildfire fuel mitigation, Davidson mesa egress, and water tap fees. She <br />asked Council to take up these topics before the one-year anniversary of the Marshall <br />Fire. <br />Andrew Hua, resident, suggested the Council consider brighter street lights in high <br />traffic areas and at high traffic times. He stated Council should consider ways to have <br />dark sky compliant lights but also have brighter lights in specific areas for better <br />physical safety. <br />Josh Cooperman, resident, stated he disagreed with the previous speaker saying some <br />studies show lights that are too bright can be a safety hazard as well. He asked that the <br />new street lights have a cool light that is better designed. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann asked for changes to the consent agenda; hearing none she asked <br />for a motion. Motion: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve the consent agenda, <br />seconded by Councilmember Fahey. Vote: All in favor. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B.
