Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 23, 2023 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />application to reflect the additional license types that are now allowed <br />to hold tastings. <br />As the City's regulations for tasting are stricter than the State's <br />requirements and there was a brief discussion on whether to keep the <br />current requirements or align them with the State. <br />There was also discussion on if only employees of the establishment <br />were allowed to do the tastings or if representatives of the vintner, etc. <br />were allowed to conduct the tasting. <br />The Authority gave direction to the Secretary and the City Attorney to <br />take an ordinance to City Council to amend the types of licensees <br />allowed and to leave it to City Council's discretion on aligning the <br />requirements to those of the State. <br />8. Secretary's Report <br />A. 2023 Open Government Pamphlet <br />The Secretary reminded each member that they were provided a <br />copy of the pamphlet and asked that they read the contents. <br />B. Proposition 122 — Access to Natural Psychedelic Substances <br />(aka "Mushrooms") <br />The Secretary informed the Authority of information she received <br />during a recent webinar regarding the proposition. She relayed <br />that the Authority will have no oversight in regulating these <br />substances. Regulation and oversight will be done only at the <br />state level. <br />10.
