City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 1, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 8 <br />Jen Gardner, resident, stated her children were recently hit by a truck in the crosswalk <br />by Fireside Elementary. She stated safe routes to school are needed across the City. <br />She would like to see more traffic calming and stop signs along that route. <br />Aaron Clauset, resident, stated he uses the crosswalk on Dahlia regularly and it is not <br />unusual for drivers to drive through that crosswalk with pedestrians present. At a <br />minimum he would like to see a four-way stop in that location. <br />RJ Harrington, resident, agreed with the earlier speakers on the need for more traffic <br />calming. He stated his support for the decarbonization contract on the consent agenda. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann asked for changes to the consent agenda; hearing none she asked <br />for a motion. Motion: Councilmember Leh moved to approve the consent agenda, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Maloney. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney noted the LRC budget is on the consent agenda and he noted <br />its importance for the urban renewal area. He also mentioned the internal <br />decarbonization contract and its importance to the City. <br />Vote: All in favor. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B. Authorize Execution of Engagement Letter for Auditing Services with Eide <br />Bailly, LLC <br />C. Approval of Resolution No. 40, Series 2022 — A Resolution Approving the <br />Annual Budget for the Louisville Revitalization Commission for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 <br />D. Approval of Internal Decarbonization Plan Contract with McKinstry <br />Essention, LLC <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann thanked everyone for comments about the recent accident near <br />Fireside. She stated the City is committed to pedestrain safety and will continue to make <br />further improvements. <br />Mayor Stolzmann noted that Spark is a local community group and they are doing a <br />November 14 performance. <br />Councilmember Brown agreed with the Mayor on the City's commitment to pedestrian <br />safety and thanked all those who spoke and those who helped in the recent accident. <br />Councilmember Leh agreed. <br />
