LCityof <br />Louisville <br />City Manager's Office <br />Grants <br />• The City has been awarded funding through the Regional Air Quality Council to electrify hand <br />held Parks equipment (13 blowers, 13 trimmers, batteries, chargers). After electrification, over <br />90% of Parks hand held inventory will be electric. <br />• The City of Louisville, Boulder County and CREA Results were accepted as a team into the <br />Center for Regenerative Solutions' Urban Nature -Based Climate Solutions Accelerator to model <br />urban heat and urban forestry as a climate solution and prepare for natural climate solutions <br />IRA funding. <br />• The City applied for the Turf Replacement Program funding through the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to expand the residential Lawn Replacement program through Resource <br />Central. <br />• The City applied for Congressionally Directed Spending through Senator Hickenlooper's office to <br />fund electrification, EV charging, and onsite solar at the Louisville Recreation Center. The City <br />was not awarded Community Project Funding through Representative Neguse's office. <br />Staffing <br />• The City has created a Sustainability Specialist position that is currently open for applicants. <br />Interviews will take place in late April/early May and the new person will start in late May/early <br />June. <br />• The City created a Sustainability Manager position that was advertised for internal candidates. <br />Kayla will be transitioning into this role, effective April 24. The Sustainability Manager will <br />onboard and manage the new Specialist position. <br />• The City is also hiring a part-time, seasonal Special Events Assistant that will support <br />sustainability and citywide events. <br />• The Austin-Neihoff House (717 Main Street) is undergoing renovations and will eventually <br />house the Sustainability and Economic Vitality divisions. <br />
