L <br />Cityaf Louisville <br />MEMORANDUM <br />To: Open Space Advisory Board <br />From: Open Space Division <br />Date: May 10, 2023 <br />Re: Information Item 5: Staff Updates <br />Marshall Fire Updates Pertaining to Open Space: <br />1. The Wildfire Hazard and Risk Assessment of Louisville Public Lands Project will be <br />hosting a public Open House on May 241" from 6-8 pm at the Louisville Recreation <br />Center. This Open Hose will cover mitigation opportunities on public lands and <br />citizen feedback will be collected to help inform the plan. <br />General: <br />1. Staffing Update: <br />A. Administrative Assistant: Interviews are currently in process with <br />anticipation of making an offer the week of May 8, 2023. <br />B. Maintenance Tech III position: Staff has selected four applicants to <br />interview for the position. Interviews will be completed on May 10, 2023 <br />with anticipation of making an offer the week of May 15, 2023. <br />C. Seasonal employees: One seasonal has been hired and staff is still in the <br />process of filling the rest of the open seasonal positions. <br />Trails & Maintenance: <br />1. The 104t" St Trail is in its final stages on construction and is expected to be <br />completed soon. The project is waiting on the installation of the pedestrian safety <br />rail South of Dillon Rd and the pedestrian cross walk striping to be completed at <br />the Empire Rd crossing. <br />2. Staff hosted a trash pick-up event at Hillside Open Space with neighboring <br />corporate groups CRB and OMOJA. The event lasted two hours and had 15 <br />participants, including one City staff member. <br />Natural Resources: <br />1. Goat Grazing is scheduled to begin in late May at North Open Space with up to <br />700 goats. <br />12 <br />
