**No 2nd Reading held so action <br />was taken by Council - ordinance did <br />not take effect. <br />ORDINANCE NO.1848 <br />SERIES 2023 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.02.090 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE REGARDING THE MAYOR'S AND MAYOR PRO TEM'S SALARIES <br />WHEREAS, Section 3-5 of the Louisville Home Rule Charter provides that the Mayor and <br />each Councilmember shall receive the salary and benefits prescribed by ordinance and that the salary <br />shall not be increased or decreased during the term for which the Mayor or Councilmember has <br />been elected; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 2.02.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code sets forth the salary for the <br />Mayor and Councilmembers; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Section 2.02.090 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code as set forth herein in order compensate the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tern at the average market <br />rate as determined by comparison with other Colorado municipalities; and <br />WHEREAS, the salary increase provided for herein shall become effective for officials <br />serving terms of office which commence on or after the City's regular municipal election in <br />November 2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. Section 2.02.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read <br />as follows (words deleted are str-i ke *hfo ug , added are underlined): <br />Sec. 2.02.090. Compensation. <br />A. The Mayor shall receive as full compensation for the Mayor's leis-er <br />her services, a salary of $18,604.00 $13,�00 per year, payable in monthly <br />payments, and in addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual membership to <br />the Louisville Recreation Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs <br />in which any premiums will be paid by the Mayor, and the option to contribute to a <br />457 account through the City's retirement plan. <br />B. The Mayor Pro Tern shall receive as full compensation for the Mayor <br />Pro Tem's services, a salary of $11,993.00 per year, payable in monthly payments, <br />and in addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual membership to the <br />Louisville Recreation Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs ms in <br />which any premiums will be paid by the Mayor Pro Tem, and the option to contribute <br />to a 457 account through the City's retirement plan. <br />C. Each Councilmember shall receive as full compensation for the <br />Councilmember's per services the sum of $11,664.00 per year, payable in <br />monthly payments, and in addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual <br />Ordinance No. 1848, Series 2022 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
