<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting of the City
<br />y Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado, to be held on February 7,
<br />'I'�OyVI IV 2IV at the hour of 6:00Louisville City Hall, 749 Main Street,
<br />Colorado 80D27 or in Louisville, an electronic meeting, the City
<br />Council will hold a Public Hearing on the final passage and adoption
<br />of a proposed ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.02.090 OF THE
<br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE MAYOR'S AND MAY-
<br />OR PRO TEM'S SALARIES.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.02.090 OF THE LOUISVILLE
<br />MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE MAYOR'S AND MAYOR
<br />PRO TEM'S SALARIES
<br />WHEREAS, Section 3.5 of the Louisville Home Rule Charter pro-
<br />vides that the Mayor and each Councilmember shall receive the sal-
<br />ary and benefits prescribed by ordinance and that the salary shall
<br />not be increased or decreased during the term for which the Mayor
<br />or Councilmember has been elected; and
<br />WHEREAS, Section 2.02.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code
<br />sets forth the salary for the Mayor and Councilmembers; and
<br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Section 2.02.090 of
<br />the Louisville Municipal Code as set forth herein in order compen-
<br />sate the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem at the average market rate as
<br />determined by comparison with other Colorado municipalities; and
<br />WHEREAS, the salary Increase provided for herein shall be-
<br />come effective for officials serving terms of office which commence
<br />on or after the City's regular municipal election in November 2023.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
<br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO:
<br />Section 1. Section 2.02.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code is
<br />hereby amended to read as follows (words deleted are stricken
<br />through, added are underlined):
<br />Sec. 2.02.090. Compensation .
<br />A. The Mayor shall receive as full compensation for the May-
<br />or's his or her services, a salary of $18,604.00 $13,968.00 per year,
<br />gpayable in monthly payments, and In addition to such salary, bene-
<br />fits to include an annual membership to the Louisville Recreation
<br />Center, membership In the City's health insurance programs in
<br />which any premiums will be paid by the Mayor, and the option to
<br />contribute to a 457 account through the City's retirement plan.
<br />B. The Mayor Pro Tem shall receive as full compensation for
<br />the Mayor Pro Tem's services, a salary of $11,993.00 per year, paya-
<br />ble in monthly payments, and in addition to such salary, benefits to
<br />include an annual membership to the Louisville Recreation Center,
<br />membership in the City s health insurance programs in which any
<br />premiums will be paid 6y the Mayor Pro Tem, and the option to con-
<br />tribute to a 457 account through the City's retirement plan.
<br />C. Each Councilmember shall receive as full conpPensation
<br />for the Councilmember's his or her services the sum of $11,664.00
<br />per year, ppayable in monthly payments, and In addition to such sal-
<br />ary, henefits to include an annual membership to the Louisville Rec-
<br />reation Center, membership in the City's health insurance ppro-
<br />grams in which any premiums will be paid by the councilmember,
<br />and the option to contribute to a 457 account through the City's re-
<br />tirement plan.
<br />Section 2. The salary Increase provided for herein shall be-
<br />come effective for the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem serving terms of
<br />office which commence on or after the City's regular municipal
<br />election in November 2023. For terms of office commencing before
<br />the November 2023 election, the Mayor shall be shall be compen-
<br />sated at the current rate of compensation, which Is $13,968.00 per
<br />year, and the Mayor Pro Tem shall be compensated at the current
<br />rate of compensation for Councilmembers, which is $11,664.00.
<br />Section 3. All other ordinances or portions thereof Inconsistent or
<br />conflictingg with this ordinance or any portion hereof are hereby re-
<br />pealed tothe extent of such inconsistency or conflict.
