Open Space Advisory Board
Minutes
June 10, 2009
potential conflict. Tom asked if any jurisdiction's code enforcement officer could
give tickets in neighboring jurisdictions. Joe suggested that only Boulder County
officers could ticket anywhere in the county but that other officers could only
ticket in their own jurisdiction.
Joe commented that "Trail Hours" is an appropriate phrase to replace
"Hours of Operation".

City of Louisville, CO OSAB Recommendation:

"We support the details of the letter and make a recommendation that we are in
support of the Rock Creek I Coal Creek Regional Trail System proposed regional
rules and regulations. We would like to suggest that the phrase "Trail Hours -
Trails Closed from Midnight to 4am" replace the phrase "Hours of Operation -
Trails only closed from midnight - 4am" regarding regulation #3."

Linda moves to make the recommendation as put down in the minutes. Truman
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Discuss Survey for the Dog Off-Leash Area to Davidson Mesa
Tom indicated that a one-page survey would be desirable and that questions
should be the same in hard copy form and online.

Truman said that multiple answers could be selected per question online, which
mayor may not create a problem.

Tom set up the online survey to only accept answers once from any given IP
address.

Kate suggested that the "Other" section may not be relevant. Tom replied that
the "Other" section is a default for the online survey but that it can be removed
from any question. There was discussion of which questions warranted an
"Other" answer.

Tom said that he would work on the website in the coming week.

Discuss Municipal Codes Related to Dogs
Ember reminded us that this discussion centers on the coyote issue and she
provided the dog rules. Tom asked if there is a vaccination code for pets.
Truman said that there is a vaccination and licensing process but does not know
the jurisdiction that handles the process.

Kate asked whether we should consider reducing the code relating to leashes of
15 feet. Ember said that Louisville is the only local jurisdiction with a leash length
designation.
