September 6, 1977 Page 2 - Minutes CITY ATTORNEY REPORT RESOLUTION If 7 FOOTHILLS WATER PROJECT Attorney Joss stated that the City has been requested to have council consider adopting a resolution whereby they would show their support for the construction of a 500 million gallon Foothills water treatment plant complex southwest of Denver. He then read Resolution #7, Series 1977. Mr. Wurl added that the basis for the request is to get as many actions of governing bodies backing them, as they have public hearings coming up before the Bureau of Land Management. Councilman Dhieux commented that the Resolution was very well written. After comments, Councilman Dhieux moved that Resolution #7, be adopted. Se- conded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Dhieux yes, DiCarlo yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes. Motion carried. ORDINANCE If567 CAT ORDINANCE FIRST READING Attorney Joss noted that all members of Council had before them a copy of the Ordinance for their review and files; he then read it on first reading by title only, commenting on portions of the ordinance for the benefit of the persons in attendance. Mrs. Lybarger, Mrs. Parkins and Mrs. Wisek stated that they were not in favor of an ordinance and that it will be hard for cat owners to keep within the ordinance. After comments Councilman Caranci moved that Ord. #567 be ordered published and a public hearing set for October 4, 1977. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. ORDINANCE If568 ADOPTION MUNICIPAL CODE Attorney Joss read the ordinance on second reading by title only, stating that all proper notices were published Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. There were no comments for or against. The public hearing was closed. Attorney Joss stated that within the Ordinance under section 2 and 4, the noting of Ordinance #562 should be deleted as that ordinance was defeated.
