<br />September 6, 1977 <br />Page 2 - Minutes <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />RESOLUTION If 7 <br />FOOTHILLS WATER PROJECT <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that the City has <br />been requested to have council consider <br />adopting a resolution whereby they would <br />show their support for the construction <br />of a 500 million gallon Foothills water <br />treatment plant complex southwest of <br />Denver. He then read Resolution #7, <br />Series 1977. <br />Mr. Wurl added that the basis for the <br />request is to get as many actions of <br />governing bodies backing them, as they <br />have public hearings coming up before <br />the Bureau of Land Management. <br />Councilman Dhieux commented that the <br />Resolution was very well written. <br />After comments, Councilman Dhieux moved <br />that Resolution #7, be adopted. Se- <br />conded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll <br />call. Dhieux yes, DiCarlo yes, Caranci <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE If567 <br />CAT ORDINANCE <br />FIRST READING <br /> <br />Attorney Joss noted that all members of <br />Council had before them a copy of the <br />Ordinance for their review and files; <br />he then read it on first reading by <br />title only, commenting on portions of <br />the ordinance for the benefit of the <br />persons in attendance. <br />Mrs. Lybarger, Mrs. Parkins and Mrs. <br />Wisek stated that they were not in favor <br />of an ordinance and that it will be hard <br />for cat owners to keep within the <br />ordinance. <br />After comments Councilman Caranci moved <br />that Ord. #567 be ordered published and <br />a public hearing set for October 4, 1977. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE If568 <br />ADOPTION MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance on <br />second reading by title only, stating <br />that all proper notices were published <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />There were no comments for or against. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Attorney Joss stated that within the <br />Ordinance under section 2 and 4, the <br />noting of Ordinance #562 should be <br />deleted as that ordinance was defeated. <br />
