STORM SEWER PROJECT STREET OVERLAY PROJECT SEAL COATING IN ALLEYS CORRESPONDENCE Minute - page 6 August 2, 1977 Mr. Wurl stated that he would like Councils approval to call for bids on the storm sewer project as budgeted and previously discussed at Council. The project includes two blocks north Spruce on Front St. and the balance of Pine from Main to Grant. Councilman Carancimoved that Council authorize the City to call for bids on the storm sewer project as discussed by Coun- cil. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that staff needed authorization from Council to call for bids on street overlay project for two separate projects which have been budgeted for. The projects cover Spruce St. from the railroad tracks to western city limits. Pine St. from the railroad tracks to Main, Walnut from Front to Main, South St. from Front to city limits and Front St. to County Rd. to city limits. Councilman Domenico moved that the City call for bids on the street overlay pro- ject. Seconded by Councilman Di Lorenzo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that recently council authorized the staff to proceed with the seal coating pena prime, however, in discussing the project with the contractor he came up with an offer to place asphalt 2" at $1. 00 per square yard, total cost $4,152. The City would buy the asphalt and the contractors would haul it from the plant. Mr. Wurl stated that it would cover the same amount of area and he felt it a good deal. Councilman DelPizzo moved that the City Administrator be authorized to continue to proceed with the offer to put in the asphalt instead of the seal coating. Se- conded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. Councilman Caranci moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried.
