LAKE PARK CONTINUED

FALL FESTIVAL
LOCATION

JAYCEES LIQUOR LICENSE

page 2- Minutes
July 19, 1977

Councilman Domenico stated that it sounds
good; however, he would not vote for it as
there are sufficient parks in the northern
part of Louisville and something should be
done in the south end.
Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would
like to see better types of grass as there
will be more weeds with the natural grass.
Mr. Drumm stated that at this point the City
could not afford to have Blue Grass and
keep it maintained, but in the future this
may be possible.
After discussion Councilman Domenico moved
that no more money be spent on parks north
of City Hall until something is built in
the south end of town. The motion died for
lack of second.
Councilman Domenico requested that the news-
paper publish that he was opposed to the
park in north Louisville until a park is
built in southern Louisville.
Councilman DiCarlo stated that the land for
Lake Park 'was from a developer and for a
park to be built in the south end of town
there must be some land purchased.
Councilman DiCarlo then moved that Lake
Park plans be accepted and bids let out for
the same. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo.
Roll call. Domenico no, DiCarlo yes,
DelPizzo yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes.
Motion carried.

Mr. Joe Ray was in attendance for the answer
on the Legions request to use the land be-
hind the Rod & Gun Club for the fall festival.
He stated that no roads needed to be blocked
off unless the City felt it necessary.
Councilman Domenico moved the Council grant
the Legion permission to use the property
behind the Rod & Gun Club for the fall
festival. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo.
Motion carried.
Mr. Ray also requested that the City grade
the area to get rid of some of the weeds.

The Jay Cees Liqour License was brought up
as to the location for the beer tent.
Council felt that the posting for the public
hearing should be placed on the Rod & Gun
Club building.
Councilman DiCarlo moved that the Rod &
Gun Club building be utilized for the liquor
license application posting. Seconded by
Councilman Domenico. Motion carried.
