REORGANIZATION Mr. Lundberg requested that Council stay in session to discuss the reorganization of the LURA Board. Mayor Waschak then requested that Administrator Wurl read a letter presented by Mr. Lundberg. It was noted that the issue came up during the 1977 budget sessions to try to save money and Mr. Wurl, requested by Council, to come up with some recommendations. After this problem came up another one arose when the City was informed that Mr. Chenoweth was working part time for the City of Lakewood. Mr. Lundberg was asked if this was the case. Mr. Lundberg replied that he had prepared a letter for Council to review. The letter had the Boards concurrence to be submitted to Council. Mayor Waschak stated that he was upset that the information was given to Council at such a short time. He also stated that he felt Council and himself had been unjustly critized; he accepted the commun- ication information for Council's purusal and called for recess. Back in session, Councilman Caranci stated that the Times editorial was blasting City Council by stating that they have no power or that the power is being given to the Administrator. He stated that the Council had given their recommendation and did not feel that they should have to listen to the LURA Board trying to convince them otherwise; as they had voted to continue with the reorganizing. Mr. Lundberg stated that they were not trying to get the Council to side with them, but shed another light on the situation for the benefit of all. Councilman DelPizzo moved that the reorgan- ization be brought up at the next regular Council meeting, January 18, 1977. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call vote was taken. DelPizzo yes, Caranci no, DiCarlo yes, Domenico yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald no. Motion carried. -$- C} i
