FUNDS CONT'D <br /> <br />aurhorize the City to request $60,000 <br />of C.D. money for continuation on the <br />Storm Sewer project which was the capital <br />improvement programs highest priority. <br />Councilman McDonald moved that the City <br />staff be authorized to prepare a re- <br />commendation for the LURA public hearing <br />in the amount of $60,000 to be used for <br />pipe and street storm sewers. Seconded <br />by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br />It was noted that if this is received <br />it would help complete the Pine Street <br />project and that there was still a sub- <br />stantial amount of work to complete the <br />entire project. <br /> <br />FIRE DISTRICT <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that there was not <br />much new to report and that he was to <br />attend the firemen meeting on January 11. <br /> <br />E.D.A. LETTERS <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br />He stated that the City was turned down <br />on their grant requests with E.D.A. and <br />thought that everyone in Boulder County <br />was turned down since that unemployment <br />figure dropped below the minimum. <br /> <br />FIRE TRUCK ENGINE <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reqported to Council his under- <br />standing as to the damaged Mac engine. <br />He stated that the cost for the new <br />engine is about $6,500. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that the per- <br />son who does the work should have some <br />type of insurance to cover a situation <br />like this. <br />Councilman DiLorenzo stated that she <br />thought a law was in effect stating <br />that mechanics must hold a state license. <br />She requested that Attorney Joss check <br />into it. <br />Mayor Pro-tern requested that Mr. Wurl <br />report back to Council at the next <br />meeting as to where the funds will come <br />from to repair the engine. <br /> <br />REORGANIZATION LURA <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the last official <br />action that was taken by the City was the <br />Mayor signing the letter which stated <br />that Council was over riding the action <br />that the LURA Board had taken and hoped <br />that matters would be resolved and a new <br />mand would be in by January 10, 1977. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
