Councilman DiCarlo stated that he felt the whole area should be looked into from Griffith St. North to So. Boulder Road. Councilman Domenico stated that the area between Griffith and Lafayette Streets should also be considered as the American Legion is on that block. Mr. Drumm stated that the amendment can be am de with an application or can be amended by Council as long as it goes through the rezoning procedure. Mrs. Lybarer asked why the City did not have to put the signs up when the first rezoning was made. Staff reported that under the law the City may rezone its entirety at one time. A proposed zoning map was advertised for the entire City in the paper. After disucssion Mayor Waschak again requested that staff have a report prepared on their recommendations for the next Council meeting. AQUARIUS ANNEXATION ORDINANCE #511 All members of Council and staff had be- fore them a copy of Ordinance #511 for their file and review. Attorney Morris read Ordinance #511 by title only on first reading. Mayor Waschak opened a public hearing. Dolores Forbis, III Aling St., asked if annexing the area under agriculture will cause a precedent. Mr. Wurl stated that it will not be- cause the City plan has some of that area designated as open space. She asked if there was anything legally binding whereby they must wait a certain amount of time before they can approach the Council with rezoning requests. Mr. Wurl stated that there were no special regulations, except they must follow all the rezoning regulations as any other area. He stated that the reason for the annexation possibly benefits the owners as pertains to regulations by the County and also there will be additional land for the cemetery and the area will be under City control. -5-
