ORDINANCE #491 CONT'D ORDINANCE #494 REGARDING LICENSE OF ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS CITY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT INTERSECTION OF SOUTH BOULDER ROAD & MAIN STREET After discussion Councilman McDonald moved that Ordinance #491 be adopted under the amended regulations and with the change made in Section 8.2, to read that the Police Chief report to the City Administrator any violations of police officers. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Roll call. Domenico yes, Caranci no, DiCarlo no, McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl read Ordinance #494 on second reading by title only. He stated that this ordinance complies with the State Statutes that the City no longer li- censes Electrical Contractors however registers them in the City. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance #494 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Roll call. Domenico yes, DiLorenzo yes, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Attorney's report as presented by Mr. Wurl be accepted and placed on file. Se- conded by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that the City Engineer and Police Cheif have reviewed the inter- section and have come up with a recom- mendation that there be a temporary re- alignment of the intersection with an island installed on Main Street and two stop signs installed; stopping vehicles turning left onto South Boulder Road and the other turning right; the old signs on South Boulder Road would be removed making it a through street. Council stated they would like to have railroad warning signs posted on all three streets. Council stated their feelings on the intersection. The fact that children unload school buses on South Boulder Road was brought up as the speed limit is high and makes it dangerous for children to be walking on the side of the street. -4-
