<br />ORDINANCE #491 CONT'D <br /> <br />administrative branch of the City Coun- <br />cil and City Administrator. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that Ordinance #491 <br />puts the police department in the same <br />procedures of other city employees. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that in the past it <br />has been passed by Council to put the <br />police department under the City <br />Administrators jurisdiction, but it <br />could not be done unless modified as <br />in Ordinance #491. <br />After discussion roll call was taken <br />for the publication of Ordinance #491. <br />Domenico no, DelPizzo no, Berry yes, <br />Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, Dhieus yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #492 <br />AMENDMENT OF #479 <br />SALES TAX <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico and Councilman <br />DelPizzo stated that they were opposed <br />to having articles placed at there <br />seat before the meeting, and then have <br />to take action on them the same night. <br />Councilman Domenico stated that he <br />would not vote on any material that <br />he had received that same night. <br /> <br />Attorney Morris stated that this <br />ordinance fully implements the Sales <br />Tax ordinance and basically provides <br />for a license fee of $3.00. It also <br />provides for a schedule as to how <br />the tax is collected. <br />Attorney Morris read Ordinance #492 <br />by title only, as distributed to all <br />Council members. Councilman Caranci <br />moved that Ordinance #492 be ordered <br />published. Seconded by Councilman <br />DiCarlo. <br />Mr. Conarroe stated that he was opposed <br />to the license fee as it is another <br />added tax to independent businesses. <br />He also stated that the fee was more <br />then the state requires. <br />It was reported that the Gross Receipt <br />license does not have a fee at present. <br />After discussion roll call was taken <br />for publication of Ordinance #492. <br />Domenico no, Berry yes, Dhieux yes, <br />DelPizzo no, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />With no more reports Councilman DiCarlo <br />moved that the City Attorney report by <br />accepted. Seconded by Councilman Berry. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
