Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 15, 2023 <br />Page 4of5 <br />Madonna thanks the commission and staff for the effort and support on this <br />application. <br />Commissioner Questions of Applicant. - <br />None is heard. <br />Public Comment: <br />None is heard. <br />Closing Statement by Applicant: <br />None is heard. <br />Closinq Statement by Staff. - <br />None is heard. <br />Discussion by Commissioners — Landmark: <br />Haley says it meets the age criteria and the architectural integrity is very strong. <br />She thinks it meets all the criteria. <br />The rest of the commissioners agree with Haley and all think it meets the <br />landmark criteria. <br />Burg moves and Beauchamp seconds a motion to approve Resolution 1, Series <br />2023. Motion passes unanimously by a roll call vote. <br />Discussion by Commissioners — Alteration Certificate: <br />Beauchamp thinks the proposed addition is pretty insignificant to the rest of the <br />project. The rear placement would not affect the look and feel of the structure. <br />Dalia says he is happy that it will be brought back to its original look. <br />Burg says this alteration certificate will help make it more modern but still keep <br />its original feel of the home. <br />Haley asks if the carport should be excluded from the landmark. <br />Brackett Hogstad says there is no need for that. You can say that it is okay to <br />change it though since it is not historic. <br />Keller moves and Dalia seconds a motion to approve Resolution 2, Series 2023. <br />Motion passes unanimously by a roll call vote. <br />Discussion by Commissioners — Grant: <br />The commissioners discuss that the grant is a reasonable amount to make <br />everything up to code. The grant amount is similar to past applications. <br />Beauchamp moves and Burg seconds a motion to approve Resolution 3, Series <br />2023.
