LL
CityfPlanning Department
LousvxXe ,
749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 303.335.4592 www.louisvilleco.gov
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
June 20, 2017
Lara Weiss
421 East Street
Louisville, CO 80027
Re: Demolition Permit — 421 East Street
Ms. Weiss,
As you already know, the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) held a public
hearing on June 19, 2017 to review your request for a demolition permit to
demolish the seven structures located at 421 East Street (421, 547, 551, 555,
559, 563, and 565 East Street). After much deliberation and a review of the
eligibility criteria found in Section 15.36.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code
(LMC), the HPC voted to place a 180-day stay on your permit. The reason for the
stay was as follows:
• The Commission found the structures have architectural integrity and
social significance.
The Commission found the properties are in overall good condition.
The Commission found there may be an opportunity to explore design
alternatives or the relocation of the structures with a future property
owner.
Therefore, the Historic Preservation Commission placed a 180-day stay on this
permit. The stay will expire on November 12, 2017.
Please contact me at 303.335.4594 or laurent@louisvilleco.gov if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
a . j I
Gyal('(_ It_4A__
Lauren Trice
Associate Planner/Historic Preservation
