Zuccaro provided background on the City's engagement with housing <br />issues, mentioning that the City signed onto the Boulder County Regional <br />Housing Partnership in 2017 which had the goal of increasing the number of <br />permanently affordable units available in partner communities to 12% by 2023. In <br />support of this initiative, City Council passed the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance <br />(No. 1809-2021), which established requirements for housing developers to build <br />12% permanently affordable units, or pay a fee in lieu. Permanently affordable <br />units include both workforce and deed -restricted housing. <br />The Housing Plan will include a Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) and a final <br />Housing Plan with actionable strategies and direction for the City to achieve its <br />housing goals.
