Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 8, 2023 <br />Page 6of6 <br />Continued Discussion: <br />Zuccaro replied that any commercial property would be required to provide a <br />minimum number of bicycle parking spaces. Required a -bike parking with <br />dedication charging was not contemplated in the City. <br />Brauneis replied that e-bikes could park in non -electric bike locations. <br />Zuccaro noted that the issue would be providing charging for e-bikes. <br />Krantz moved to approve while reducing the minimum to 3. Howe seconded. <br />Choi stated he felt that 4 was an appropriate minimum. <br />Discussion of 3 versus 4. Brauneis asked for other arguments for the reduction <br />besides those that had been stated. <br />Krantz added that market forces would create the demand for a developer to do <br />more if they felt they needed to. She noted that staff had looked into it more than <br />she had and she agreed with staff's assessment, though. <br />Osterman stated she could go either way. She added that the minimum spaces <br />could be related to the square footage of the courts similar to other uses and that <br />4 was reasonable based on that, as well. <br />Krantz restated her motion. Roll call vote: 5 yay, 1 nay (with Commissioner Choi <br />voting nay).
