6 City.C) <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />City Council <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, June 16, 2023 <br />Regular Meeting <br />1. Call to Order: Chair Leh called the meeting to order at 1:34 PM. <br />2. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: Chair Leh, <br />Mayor Pro Tern Fahey, and Councilmember Most. Also present were <br />Community Development Director Rob Zuccaro, Economic Vitality Manager <br />April Kroner, Economic Vitality Specialist Austin Brown, and City Manager Jeff <br />Durbin. Four members of the public were present. <br />3. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Pro Tern Fahey made a motion to approve the <br />agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Most. <br />Motion passed. <br />4. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Mayor Pro Tern Fahey made a motion to <br />approve the meeting minutes of May 19, 2023. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilmember Most. Motion passed. <br />5. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Rick Kron voiced concern <br />about the number of vacant buildings downtown and wondered if there was <br />anything the EVC could do to help with this issue. <br />6. Staff Updates: Manager Kroner gave brief updates on the properties at 816 <br />Main Street (former Empire Lounge), 833 Main Street (former Chase Bank), <br />804 Main Street (Wildwood Guitars), and 916 Main Street (Radiance MedSpa). <br />Manager Kroner continued her updates with a brief summary of the downtown <br />ice rink. Chair Leh thanked Manager Kroner for her efforts in taking on this <br />project and ensuring that Louisville will continue to have a winter ice skating <br />rink. <br />Manager Kroner also mentioned that the new Dollar Tree (655 E South Boulder <br />Rd) is expected to have its grand opening in late June or July. The EVC <br />expressed excitement that this vacant property will be filled. Councilmember <br />Most asked how many jobs Dollar Tree was going to create?
