City Council
Meeting Minutes
December 20, 2022
VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
APPROVAL OF USE OF FUNDING FROM DENVER BRONCO STADIUM SALE
moved from consent
Mayor Stolzmann stated that staff is recommending studying the options for spending
this money but she proposed dedicating the funds to either the Youth Activities
subprogram or to playground replacement. This gives the Council flexibility to decide
what to do in these two areas with the $254K. It can offset the deficit in these areas.
Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated this is in the spirit of how it is to be spent and allows
Council to identify the places we want to spend it.
Councilmember Fahey asked Director Blackmore what programs staff is looking at for
spending this. Director Blackmore stated staff has looked at a few areas in cultural
services, recreation, open space, and parks, but it is a relatively small amount and it can
be spent wherever Council thinks makes sense.
Councilmember Most stated she likes the idea of using the funds for playgrounds as it is
a program that is available to all participants a no cost.
Members agreed to allocate the funds towards playground expenditures or the Youth
Activity subprogram.
CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT
COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
None.
ADJOURN
Members adjourned at 9:33 pm.
Dennis Maloney, Mayor Pro Tern
Meredyth Muth, City Clerk
