SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF RFP FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE HOUSING PLAN <br />DATE: JANUARY 10, 2023 PAGE 2 OF 2 <br />Create Strategic Initiatives and Policies <br />o The outcome of this task is the Housing Plan. The plan should include <br />actions the city can take, including regulatory, programmatic, land use and <br />other policy changes to address current, short-term and long-term housing <br />needs. Identification of partnerships and regional collaboration <br />opportunities are desired. Focus on strategies that achieve the goal of <br />12% permanently affordable housing should be included. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The 2023-2024 budget currently allocates $20,000 to develop the Housing Plan. The <br />grant from DOLA will cover the remaining $60,000 of the total $80,000 budget. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />The development of a Housing Plan supports the Community Design and Economic <br />Prosperity Programs, specifically the Community Design and Business Retention and <br />Development Sub -Programs. Ensuring that housing meets the needs of residents and <br />businesses is fundamentally important to these outcomes. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the RFP for the development of a Housing Plan. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
