<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 21, 2009 <br />Page 9 of 9 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported on a favorable ruling from the 10th Circuit Court of <br />Appeals Court on a summary judgment question on a personnel matter. The <br />matter will be returned to the District Court. Mayor Sisk commended City <br />Attorney Light and the City Staff. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Councilor Yarnell announced the Cultural Councils' last "Concert in the Park" is <br />Thursday, July 23, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Community Park. The band is Kort <br />McCumber and the McCumberland Group. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk noted several stop signs throughout the City are obscured by tree <br />branches and in particular, the 4-way stop sign at Lafayette and Lincoln. He <br />requested the City crews take corrective action to ensure stop signs are visible. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle reported COOT will spend 26 million dollars on US 36 to <br />reconstruct the section from Old Wadsworth to Sheridan Boulevard, with a <br />footprint wide enough to accommodate the HOV/HOT bus lanes. The funding is <br />from the federal stimulus money. Mayor Sisk thanked Councilor Muckle for his <br />work on DRCOG and US 36 Project. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk announced he will travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Under <br />Secretary for the Department of Transportation on stimulus funds requests. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />
