<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 25, 2009 <br />Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION - CITY MANAGER ANNUAL EVALUATION (Louisville <br />Code of Ethics, Section 5-2 (c) CRS 24-6-402(4) (a) - Authorized Topics) <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested the City Council convene an Executive Session for the <br />purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager <br />Louisville Code of Ethics (Sec. 5-2(b) CRS 24-6-402(4)(f) - Authorized Topics) <br />City Clerk Varra read Sec 2.90.050 - Public statement, of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, which governs the topics discussed in an executive session. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light cited the authority to conduct an executive session in the <br />(Louisville Code of Ethics Sec. 5-2(b) CRS 24-6-402(4)(f) - Authorized Topics).lt <br />is authorized because the City Manager has not requested discussion of the <br />matter in open session; the discussion does not concern the City Council; or any <br />elected official; nor does it concern the appointment of any person to fill an office <br />of the City Councilor other elected official; and it does not involve personnel <br />policies that do not require a discussion of personnel matters to a particular <br />employee. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved the City Council convene an executive session for <br />purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager. He <br />requested the City Attorney attend the executive session, seconded by Councilor <br />Sackett. All were in favor. Council went into executive session at 8:20 p.m. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br /> <br />Council reconvened the regular business meeting at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br />REPORT - DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION - <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported the City Council convened an executive session for <br />purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager. Staff <br />will prepare a summary evaluation for the City Manager for the last employment <br />period, along with the renewal contract for Council consideration at the next City <br />Council meeting. <br />
