City Council Meeting Minutes August 25, 2009 Page 11 of 12 EXECUTIVE SESSION - CITY MANAGER ANNUAL EVALUATION (Louisville Code of Ethics, Section 5-2 (c) CRS 24-6-402(4) (a) - Authorized Topics) REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED Mayor Sisk requested the City Council convene an Executive Session for the purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager Louisville Code of Ethics (Sec. 5-2(b) CRS 24-6-402(4)(f) - Authorized Topics) City Clerk Varra read Sec 2.90.050 - Public statement, of the Louisville Municipal Code, which governs the topics discussed in an executive session. City Attorney Light cited the authority to conduct an executive session in the (Louisville Code of Ethics Sec. 5-2(b) CRS 24-6-402(4)(f) - Authorized Topics).lt is authorized because the City Manager has not requested discussion of the matter in open session; the discussion does not concern the City Council; or any elected official; nor does it concern the appointment of any person to fill an office of the City Councilor other elected official; and it does not involve personnel policies that do not require a discussion of personnel matters to a particular employee. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved the City Council convene an executive session for purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager. He requested the City Attorney attend the executive session, seconded by Councilor Sackett. All were in favor. Council went into executive session at 8:20 p.m. REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED Council reconvened the regular business meeting at 8:50 p.m. REPORT - DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION - City Attorney Light reported the City Council convened an executive session for purpose of conducting an annual performance review of the City Manager. Staff will prepare a summary evaluation for the City Manager for the last employment period, along with the renewal contract for Council consideration at the next City Council meeting.
