City Council
Meeting Minutes
August 25, 2009

Councilor Sackett's top three choices were statewide revenue sharing, additional
transportation funding and authorizing local governments to use municipal web
sites for official government notices.

Councilor Muckle's top three choices were statewide revenue sharing,
authorizing the web site for official government publication and urban renewal.
He felt it would be difficult to reach consensus on the issue of urban renewal. In
the event consensus on urban renewal could not be reached, he would support
energy sustainability and conservation measures.

Deputy City Manager Balser agreed it would be difficult to reach consensus on
urban renewal issues and noted currently the emphasis has been on Greenfields.

Councilor Muckle did not feel a transportation issue would not be beneficial and
noted DRCOG is addressing those issues.

Councilor Yarnell supported revenue sharing, affordable housing and energy
sustainability.

Mayor Sisk concurred with Councilor Muckle's top three choices: statewide
revenue sharing, authorizing the web site for official government publication,
urban renewal and energy sustainability and conservation measures.

Councilor Clabots supported municipal web sites for official government notices
rather than print media and statewide revenue sharing.

Mayor Pro Tem Marsella commented on affordable housing, and explained there
is cooperation on the county level but not on the state level. She did not see the
advantage of putting affordable housing on the list. Councilor Yarnell felt there
was merit to adding it to the list.

Deputy City Manager Balser reminded Council this list will be for Consortium of
Cities legislative agenda and the City will still have its own legislative agenda.

Mayor Pro Tem Marsella thanked Council for their discussion and stated she had
enough information to bring back to the Consortium of Cities.
