REGULAR MEETING

LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL

DECEMBER 16, 1975

Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the
following Council members present: Domenico, Berry, Dhieux, DelPizzo
Caranci and DiCarlo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City
Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Planner Drumm, and City
Clerk Santilli.

ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES

Mayor Waschak and Council approved the
minutes of the December 2, 1975 meeting
as read.

COUNCIL ITEMS
APPROVE MINERS STATUE
LOCATION

Councilman Berry stated that at a work
session between Council and the Horizon
Committee it was decided that the loca-
tion of the Miners Statue be in front of
the Spruce tree at City Hall as was first
requested by the Horizon Committee.
Councilman DiCarlo moved the recommenda-
tion be accepted by Council. Seconded
by Councilman Berry. Motion carried.

DEL PIZZO REZONING

Mayor Waschak open the public hearing on
the rezoning from Residential-Medium &
Commercial Transitional to Residential
and Commercial property. Mr. Wurl stated
that for this change it would be nec-
essary to change the zoning map and also
the provision which controls the usage
of property. He also stated that a pub-
lic hearing was held with planning com-
mission and they recommended that Council
disapprove the request.
City Planner Drumm stated to Council that
the rezoning would not be of any benefit
to the area.
Councilman DelPizzo asked why the zoning
had been changed in the first.
Mr. Drumm stated that when the staff
reviewed the 1973 Comp plan it was
felt that strip commercial along Main
St. was undesirable.
Councilman DelPizzo disapproved of Mr.
Drumms statements and asked why a pe-
tition was not taken around.
Mr. Wurl stated that the complete City
was being rezoned and law provides that
when a City is doing a general rezoning
they do not have to notify individuals
as with the rezoning of a certain area.
Mr. DelPizzo stated his feelings on the
zoning change and his request for re-
zoning.
