CONSORTIUM REPORT

Councilwoman Dhieux stated that Mr. Drumm,
the City Planner, did an excellent job in
reporting to the Consortium. She stated
that interest was placed mostly on the
Mizel development althought there were
others plans that should be considered
by other communities on the Citys plan.
She also reported on Resource Recovery
Legislation stating that they are re-
questing the cities to set up discussions
on the solid waste situation. Also the
City should consider their solid waste
programs and concerns.

With no other reports Councilman DiCarlo
moved that the reports be accepted and
placed on file. Seconded by Councilman
Berry. Motion carried.

AUDIENCE COMMENTS
LAFAYETTE ST.

Steve Anderson asked if the City will have
say as to the repairs on the street.
Mr. Wurl stated that the repairs will have
to meet City specifications.

LIQUOR LICENSE

Steve Anderson stated that he felt better
policing will help control the problems
which are seen at the local taverns.

SPEED SIGNS

Mrs. Shipton stated that she would like
to see speed signs posted as people are
driving too fast on Short St. It was
stated by Council that signs could be
posted however if this is done in one
location the City may be drawn into a
situation of placing signs on all streets
within the City and they therefore felt
this would not be a good thing to do.
It was suggested that the matter be called
to attention of the Police Department.

Mrs. DiLorenzo asked if anything could be
done in regards to help the pedestrian
problem, as many people have much difficulty
in getting across Main St. at all hours of
the day.

Mrs. McDonald asked if it would be possible
to get a shelter for people who are waiting
to catch the bus. Mr. Wurl stated that
the City is trying to meet with RTD to
discuss this matter along with several
others.

PEDESTRIAN RIGHTS

BUS SHELTER

-5-
