AMERICAN BUILDERS cont'd

Councilman DiCarlo asked if the City of
Louisville would be infringing on the
Lafayette service area.
Mr. Wurl stated that Lafayette has reduced
their area and does not service this area.

Councilwoman Dhieux asked when the state was
going to start considering the land owners in
their reports. She stated that land owners
will have a hard time doing anything with their
land after the state designates it as a
geologic hazard area etc.
Mr. Wurl stated that should have been con-
sidered in earlier stages because a land
developer who sees that the property is a
possible hazard area is not going to be
interested when they know they will have
to do detailed studies before possible annex-
ation and development.
Mr. Hershey stated that if the City moves
north and takes over that open space and then
can not move east or west; they will then
have to move south taking up that open
space. He asked if it would not be bene-
ficial to state on the plan that open space
will be designated as portions of land
prove undevelopable.
Councilman Berry stated that besides sub-
sidence it should be checked as to the type
of ground minerals the firm would be de-
veloping on; as some ground will not settle
to hold a building and he felt this to be
as great a danger as subsidence.
Mr. Gurtis stated that market studies have
been made on the land in questions which
uncovered no problems or detailed studies
which the state would require.
After discussion Councilman DelPizzo moved
that Council would consider the land for
possible future annexation. Seconded by
Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried.

CITY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT
FILTER PLANT LAND CONTRACT

Mr. Wurl stated that what was needed was
authorization for the Mayor to sign the land
contract for 1.66 acres in the amount of $4,800.
Councilman Caranci moved that the Mayor be
authorized to sign the contract to acquire
1.66 acres of land in the amount of $4,800.
Seconded by Councilman Berry. All in favor.
Motion carried.

12.
