COUNCIL COMMENTS &
COMMITTEE REPORTS
BUDGET & INVENTORY

Councilman Berry asked Mr. Wurl to have the
Public Works Dept. make up an inventory of
equipment showing condition, age and replacement
cost as he felt that this department was left
out on the purchasing and upkeep of their equip-
ment.

PUBLIC SERVICE FRANCHISE

Councilman DiCarlo asked what was being done on
the Public Service Franchise. Mr. Wurl stated
that two items which are requested in the
franchise can't be discussed at the district level.

PARKING LOT PAVING

Mr. Wurl stated that bids will be called for the
paving on the parking lot in the first week
of September.

WATERING NOTICES

Councilman Caranci stated that the watering
notices did not include the fines on them.
Mr. Wurl stated that fines was not an item which
was to be placed on the notice.
Council stated that they had a meeting with the
Police Dept. and they were to instruct Mr.
Conarroe to have the fines put on the notices.
Mr. Conarroe stated that no one notified him
about the fines and he waited as long as he
could before printing.
Mr. Wurl stated that the line exempting City
owned or controlled property from watering
restrictions may cause problems.

SPROUL SEWER PLANT
PUBLIC HEARING

Councilwoman Dhieux asked Mr. Wurl where Sproul
will be getting the water to accomodate the
sewer plant. Mr. Wurl felt that Mr. Sproul was
working out an exchange for the water he owns on
the western slope for water that can be utilized
at some facility that might be built on this
side of the mountains.
Mr. Wurl also stated that Council has received the
hearing date, and that the City is opposed to
the possible plant. He stated that he wanted
to emphasize that there is a possibility that
this development may become reality.
Mr. Wurl stated that the County Health Dept.
issued Mr. Sproul a permit for a sanitation plant
at the Fairways water and sanitation district.

TIM WI RTH LETTER

Councilwoman Dhieux stated that she would like
to see a staff member attend the meeting as Mr.
George Vranesh is on the agenda. Mr. Wurl
stated that Engineer White will be attending.

-5-
