<br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 31, 1975 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the special meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following <br />Council members present: Domenico, Berry, Caranci, Dhieux, DelPizzo. Absent: <br />Councilman DiCarlo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Engineer <br />White, City Clerk Santilli. <br /> <br />DUTCH ELM DISEASE <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Doug Fraser and Luther Green of the Colorado <br />Forest Service presented a filmed report on <br />the Dutch Elm Disease to Council. They re- <br />quested that Council act by way of resolution <br />to help control the diseased trees now and in <br />the future. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the matter would be dis- <br />cussed later on in the meeting. <br /> <br />JAYCEES 3.2% LIQUOR <br />LICENSE <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the license was in order <br />for the 48 hour license to be used during the <br />fall festival on August 31, and September 1, <br />1975. The stand will be located on the Stein- <br />baugh lot across from the City parking lot. <br />Mr. Schreiter stated that corporation papers <br />were needed to get the license, and that he <br />now had them. Mr. Schreiter stated that the <br />stand will be in a roped off area and members <br />of the Jaycees will be watching that no one <br />underage is served. Also, he stated that they <br />were planning on having the san-o-let facilities <br />in their area. The alcohol will be consumed in <br />the roped off area only. <br />Mr. Tim Camps stated that the Jaycees are trying <br />to acquire a pop machine for the sales of soft <br />drinks in the area also. <br />He stated that the Jaycees felt this stand will <br />give the people who are of age to drink 3.2% <br />beer an opportunity to do so legally without <br />driving in their cars and help to keep them out <br />of the taverns which require you to be 21 years <br />of age. <br />Attached to the application for the license was <br />a letter granting permission to the Jaycees to <br />use the Steinbaugh lot and leaving all responsi- <br />bilities to the Jaycees. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that after execution of the in- <br />corporation papers, the City will have to have <br />a copy for the file. Mr. Schreiter stated that <br />he would get the City their copy. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci, moved that <br />Council approve the 3.2% 48 hour liquor license <br />application for August 31, and September 1, 1975, <br />from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M on both days for <br />the Jaycees beer stand during the fall festival. <br />
