<br />Mr. Wurl stated that in regards to the hazard maps, when they were prepared and sub- <br />mitted to the City the geologist that was here indicated that they would develop <br />criteria as to what could be constructed on the different designated areas. The <br />geologist stated that it would be done in about three weeks, it has now been six weeks <br />and they stated that there have been private companies hired by the Geological Survey <br />to do more extensive work to develop the criteria. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that in reference to Mr. DeMarcos statement there ~re two things that <br />happen at the state level. One, it take much time to get things done and also there data <br />is very poor, however it is being worked on. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he understood Mr. Conarroes remark and would like to get everthing <br />included in the guidelines at one time because it takes so long to get something done <br />on the upper levels. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl asked Mr. Houlehan if it would be best to collect all the points in question <br />from the Commission and get it all together at one time. <br /> <br />Mr. Houlehan stated that he would try to get as much information from any branch that <br />would benefit the guidelines. He suggested that the City try to incorporate as much <br />existing work as possible into these guidelines, and then as far as sewage and filtration <br />plants find out what standards exist and incorporate their data. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl asked Mr. Houlehan if it is necessary by the State to include the sewage and <br />filtration plants in the guidelines - should they be included? <br /> <br />Mr. Houlehan suggested that the Commission be contacted informally to discuss the <br />topic as it does not really apply with the City now and if they suggest it be put in <br />it should be done. <br /> <br />Mr. Houlehan suggested that the public hearing be reopened so the City would have enough <br />time to complete and file the guidelines within 30 days after closing to hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman Berry moved that the Public Hearing be reopened. Seconded by Councilman <br />Domenico. Councilman DiCarlo stated that Mr. Drumm has done a good job on the pre- <br />liminary draft. He also stated this project should be done carefully and honestly. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that it would be done carefully and honestly. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the Public Hearing be continued on July 31, 1975, at <br />7:30 P.M. Seconded by Councilwoman Dhieux. Roll call. Berry yes, Caranci yes, <br />Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Hardaway stated that he attended the Boulder County Commission meeting <br />several weeks ago and felt that public relations is lacking. From the hearing he <br />attended it sounded as though the Commissioners were doing everything and the City <br />was doing nothing. He felt that the Commissioners would like to exercise a veto <br />power over municipalities within their jurisdiction. He felt that Louisville should <br />try to clearly state their intent and their right to exercise local control as stated <br />in H.B. 1041. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the City has many times tried to do what Mr. Hardaway was suggesting. <br />He stated that a list of event was passed out relating to H.B. 1041 activities and the <br />Citys input. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
