TAP FEE INCREASE cont'd

RESOLUTIONS #15 & 16

increase as proposed.

Councilman Domenico stated that he was in favor
of an increase, but not as it is now stated.

Mr. Conarroe stated that the water revenue is
an important source of income for small Cities
and he felt what he pays for the water is a
small fee for the services he receives.

Mr. Wurl stated that if the mill levy was
what it should be to balance the City and its
expenses people could not afford to purchase
a home, therefore the revenue must be sought
elsewhere.

Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did not
go along with the high increase. He felt that
if there was an increase needed, it should be
around the same percentage as the building
supplies etc.
Councilman DelPizzo stated that if the City
~~anted to kill growth he could see no reason
for a water storage plant.

Mayor Waschak stated that he did not feel
the City was trying to kill growth and the
developers should be dealt with so we can
continue the developments.

~1r. Wurl stated that the $200.00 sewer tap
increase could be deferred until the end of
the year. There is about a $20,000.00 fee
for the engineering to begin the plans for the
next phase on the sewer plant which should go
on line by June 1976. He stated that the
staff was putting this in the 1975 budget to
begin building. If this was not done early
the developers would be upset because of the
lack of facilities.

After discussion Mr. Brock, Mrs. Forbis and
Mr. Brown commented on the matter.

Mr. Wurl informed Council about the two
resolutions. Councilwoman Scholl moved that
Resolution #15 & 16 be adopted. Seconded by
Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Domenico yes,
Berry yes, Scholl yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo
yes. Motion carried.
