The <br />plan should focus on connectivity to historic downtown, the proposed commuter rail <br />station. neighborhoods and future development opportunities along the Hwy. 42 corridor. <br /> <br />Goals: <br /> <br />. Create a multi-modcl and pedestrian friendly mixed use development <br />. Create economic sustainable revitalization in the urban renewal area <br />. Encourage strong rail ridership <br />. Create "inviting" connectivity between thc Hwy. 42 core area and historic <br />downtown <br /> <br />Topic of Focus: <br /> <br />. Underpass <br />. Parking strategies for transit <br />. Revitalization and reinvestment in the Hwy. 42 cOITidor <br />. Road connections that will provide connectivity within the urban renewal area <br />. Enhance Pine Street as a gateway to Historic downtown <br />. Pedestrian and bieyelc connections <br />. Encourage future private investment in the area <br />· Encourage future development and redevelopment <br /> <br />Outreach <br /> <br />. A key component is the outreach to stakeholders, property and businesses <br />ownerships. as well as the overall neighborhood within the arca <br />.
