<br />DASH Bus Service <br />The DASH project continues to go well. Both cities may need to lobby the RTD Board to <br />support the funding needed to implement the service. In addition, a citizen design committee <br />should be formed to ensure that the service meets the needs of the community. <br /> <br />Other Issues <br />· Open Space - Mayor Toor noted that funds for open space purchases will soon run out in <br />the region, and asked for input on what the local governments should do to protect the <br />remaining open space. Suggestions included: extending the county sales tax, utilizing a <br />portion of the recycling tax, and bonding. Boulder Council Member T oor suggested <br />Louisville staff contact Jim Crain, Open Space Director, with any information needs re: <br />open space purchases in the area. <br />· Wide Open West - Louisville Mayor Pro-Tern Chuck Sisk asked for an update on cable <br />competition in Boulder. City Attorney Joe de Raismes stated that competition has been <br />helpful to the City, allowing for great, high speed internet access. Aurora and Denver did <br />financial analyses, and Wide Open West looks like a stable company - their people are <br />pleasant to work with. The proposed agreement can be found on the City's web site. <br />· Water Rights - Louisville City Administrator stated that, if Boulder has water to sell from <br />Windy Gap, the City of Louisville is interested in purchasing water. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br />
