<br />Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 19,2002 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Sisk asked that authorization be through Legal Committee recommendation. He stated the <br />Legal Committee could review th'e law firm and compensation rate. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Simmons reminded Council ofth(~ November 26,2002 study session. Agenda items <br />include the 2:003 Budget, 2003 Capital Project Budget and the Development Impact Fees. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer reported the Boulder County Communication Center might be moved to the <br />County Jail site. He suggested that Boulder County Sheriff-elect Joe Pelle meet with the <br />City Council at a work session to discuss the relocation of the communication center. <br /> <br />Keany reported on a Housing Authority meeting and stated a private developer <br />approached the Housing Authority on a joint project. The Housing Authority has decided <br />that a joint project is not appropriate at this time. <br /> <br />Davidson reported on a meeting between the Interchange Committee and the Town of <br />Superior Board of Trustees, with respect to the plans for the US 36 expansion. He noted <br />the engineering for the interchange cannot interfere with the US 36 expansion. He <br />reported they are looking at moving the rapid transit station further west, thereby not <br />requiring as many lanes under the bridge. He stated the bridge probably needs expansion. <br /> <br />Davidson also reported the Mayor's and Commissioners Along US 36, met with the local <br />legislators and legislators-elect. He stated the meeting went well and the project was <br />favorably received. He stated they also met with the Executive Director ofRTD, where <br />fast tracking was discussed. The Committee will also meet with CDOT. He stated there <br />might be some consideration for non-traditional funding. <br /> <br />Mayer reported that he spoke to Boulder County Acting Transportation Director Clark <br />Misner, relative to US 36, and noted the County might have a renewed level of activity <br />with DRCOG. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council adjourn (8:20 p.m.), seconded by Levihn.
