Between Boulder County and the City of Louisville <br /> <br />ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: <br /> <br />Administration <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Attached is the amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement for Collection of Use Tax Between Boulder <br />County and the City of Louisville. It am~~nds the existing tax collection IGA (2nd attachment) to account <br />for the passage by County voters this past November of a .05% tax increase for emergency services. The <br />amendment now provides for the collt:~ction of 40% (up from .35%) The collection of this additional .05% <br />expires on December 31, 2000. <br /> <br />The existing tax collection IGA entitled the City to retain 5% of the receipts of the use tax collected by it. <br />All of the terms and conditions of the County Use Tax IGA not amended shall remain in effect and shall <br />apply to the collection of this . 05~o tax. <br /> <br />Boulder County asks that this Amendment is signed before the end of this year, and thus is before you this <br />. - '" '" <br /> <br />evenmg <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA TION: <br /> <br />City Council approve the amendment and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />SUBJECT AGENDA ITEM <br />Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement for Collection of County <br />Use Tax Between Boulder County and the City of Louisville <br />
