Davidson called for Council comments and questions. Howard moved that Council approve Resolution No, 55, Series 1998 - Special Review Use for St. Louis Catholic Church and School to Operate a Middle School at 841 Grant Avenue, seconded by Sisko Sam Light, City Attorney, offered a fr;lendly amendment that condition #1 read: That the proposed circulation plan for 841 Grant Avenue incorporate a note precluding the parking of staff and volunteer vehicles adjacent to the church on Walnut Street. Accepted by Howard and Sisk. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6-0 vote. Davidson called for a two minute recess. Davidson called the meeting back to order. Sam Light, City Attorney, read by title only Ordinance No. 1286, Series 1998 - An Ordinance Amending the Louisville Municipal Code Setting a Maximum Building Height within the Old Town Commercial Community District. Davidson called for staff introduction. Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that this Ordinance was continued from October 6, 1998, at Council's direction to incorporate a 29-foot maximum building height inclusive of the parapet and mechanical equipment. Davidson opened the public hearing and called for public comments. Nancy Love, 841 Front Street, Louisville, Colorado, stated that she believes that adopting this ordinance will create an unattractive 'row of soldiers' and recommended that Council not adopt this ordinance and allow a variety of building heights in downtown Louisville. Erik Hartronft, 801 Main Street, Suite 300, Louisville, Colorado, stated that the proposed Downtown Design Guidelines were drafted from citizen input and thoughtful consideration by the guidelines 11
