Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 6-0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 36, SERIES 1998 - AMENDMENT TO A FINAL PUD' <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR A MODIFIED WALL SIGN AT QUANTUM <br />PERIPHERALS, 1450 INFINITE DRIVE <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff introduction. <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the 'Quantum' name has been changed to 'MKE- <br />Quantum.' As a result, the applicant is seeking approval of an Amended Final PUD to modify the <br />existing wall sign facing US 36 and an existing monument sign located at the end of Infinite <br />Drive (a public street), at the entrance to the facility. Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the application with one condition. That condition addresses the parking capacity for <br />this PUD. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Bob West, 581 Augusta Drive, Louisville, Colorado, ofOZ Architecture, stated Quantum is <br />requesting this change due to a recent partnership with a company now located in this building. <br />He offered to answer any questions regarding the sign or parking. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions and comments. <br /> <br />Sisk thanked West and Quantum for applying for a new sign before installing it. He asked West <br />whether the smokestack issue discussed during the initial PUD process has been resolved. <br /> <br />West replied that, due to environmental requirements, the height of the stack cannot be changed. <br />Quantum added a 14-foot-high screen, at a cost of approximately $100,000, to mitigate the <br />emissions stack and the cooling tower that was visible from the road. <br /> <br />6 <br />
