<br />RESOLUTION NO. 21, SERIES 1998 - AUTHORIZING THE DELEGATION TO THE ., <br />CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER, COLORADO OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, WITH RESPECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF <br />SINGLE FAMILY HOME MORTGAGE REVENUE BONDS (THE "BONDS") TO <br />FINANCE RESIDENTIAL HOUSING FACILITIES FOR LOW- AND MIDDLE- <br />INCOME PERSONS AND FAMILIES WITHIN THE CITY AND CERTAIN OTHER <br />CITIES AND COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF COLORADO; APPROVING SUCH <br />BONDS AND SINGLE FAMILY MORTGAGE LOAN PROGRAM; AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DELEGATION <br />AGREEMENT AND OTHER DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff introduction. <br /> <br />Heather Balser, Assistant to the City Administrator, reported that the Department of Local Affairs <br />(DOLA) has awarded the Metro Mayor's Caucus $3 million to underWrite single-family mortgages <br />for first-time home buyers within Caucus member, non-entitlement cities (cities under 40,000 <br />population). To facilitate this, the metro area was broken into quadrants with the funds to be divided <br />among those quadrants according to the total population within each. Louisville is within the <br />Northwest Quadrant which includes Broomfield, Edgewater, Erie, Lafayette and Wheatridge. She <br />stated that $1,280,000 has been awarded for this quadrant and the City and County of Denver will <br />administer the program. Interested fIrst-time home buyers should contact Austin Mortgage or Cherry <br />Creek Mortgage to participate. In order for the City of Louisville to participate, Denver needs to have <br />certain documents in place; hence, this agenda item. <br /> <br />Dctvidson called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Keany reported that the Louisville Housing Authority supports this program and feels it would be <br />a benefit to the citizens of Louisville. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council adopt Resolution No. 21, Series 1998, seconded by Mayer. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22, SERIES 1998 - APPROVING A PROPOSED <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT AMONG THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO, THE LOUISVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY, THE COUNTY OF <br />BOULDER, AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF BOULDER COUNTY <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff introduction. <br /> <br />Heather Balser, Assistant to the City Administrator, explained that the Boulder County Housing <br />Authority is interested in jointly purchasing, with the City of Louisville Housing Authority, an <br />existing apartment complex in the City.
