If the Commission finds that the building to be demolished does not have
historical significance under the criteria set forth above, the City shall issue a
demolition permit if all other requirements of the permit process are met.

If the Commission finds that the building may have historical significance under
the criteria, the application shall be suspended for a period not to exceed 180
days from the date the permit application was accepted by the Building Division,
which in this case is December 22, 2009.

During the 180-day period of suspension, the Commission may work to landmark
the structure or find an alternative to demolition. If an individual landmark or
district designation has not been completed during the 180-day period, the City
shall issue a demolition permit if all other requirements of the permit process
have been met.

I will keep you apprised of the process as the Commission moves forward.
Please contact me at 303.335.4591 should you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Sean McCartney
Principal Planner

G:\HPC\2009\092109 Packet\712 Lincoln Avenue\712 Lincoln 081309.doc
