<br />Horticultural & Forestry Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />October 1, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />South Boulder Rd median improvements-First phase should be complete by <br />Tuesday Oct. 6. Additional cleaning and mulching will be done this fall. <br />Concrete work will not be done until next year. <br /> <br />Tree Protection-According to Dean, Chris will continue to work on revisions to <br />the draft guidelines; he also planned to look for published tree protection <br />information at Oct. ISA meeting. <br /> <br />Cemetery Expansion-Plantings and sod installation are both scheduled for <br />October. However there is some concern about the feasibility of watering and <br />maintaining sod throughout the winter, and Dean is considering delaying sod <br />installation until spring. <br /> <br />Website development-No discussion. <br /> <br />Discussion items for next meeting on Nov. 5, 2009-Adopt-a-tree proposal; <br />tree protection guidelines; review of landscape maintenance ordinances <br />pertaining to commercial properties (Dean will contact Officer Laura Lobato <br />about possibly attending a future HFAB meeting in order to explain existing <br />ordinances and their enforcement.) <br /> <br />Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 pm. <br />
