He briefly reviewed the tasks for the project and explained that the <br />timetables have been moved up to complete the project in the most expeditious manner. <br />The agenda for the October 12, 1999 City Council Work Session was confirmed. <br />Keany requested that staff evaluate the placement of `no U -turn' signs in front of the <br />Louisville Middle School. He explained that he has witnessed a number of cars dropping <br />students off and then making a U -turn in the street, creating a hazardous situation. He <br />stated that at his request, the City Attorney has determined that a Statutory City can pass <br />an ordinance that would double the fines for speeding in school zones. He requested that <br />Council consider adopting such an ordinance. <br />Mayer reported that a business roundtable to discuss air quality issues would be held on <br />October 12, 1999, at 7:30 a.m. in the Louisville Council Chambers and invited Council to <br />attend. <br />Howard moved that Council adjourn (7:15 p.m.), seconded by Sisk.
