Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2009 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />The Water Conservation Plan is an informational item only. <br /> <br /> <br />The Passco project that was continued from tonights meeting will be <br /> <br /> <br />th <br />brought back on October 8. <br />Commissioners requested Staff develop a plan for how the 2009-2010 <br />Commission Goals will be addressed. Staff confirmed they would bring forward at <br />th <br />the October 8 meeting a plan for the 2009-2010 Commission Goals. Staff also <br />plans to bring forward subdivision re-plat criterion at the October meeting. <br />Staff Comments – <br /> Planning Commission Notes <br />regarding the joint study with City <br /> <br /> <br />Council held on August 11, 2009 <br /> Summarize HPC/ PC Downtown Design Guidelines Public <br /> <br />Meeting <br />that was held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 6:30 PM <br /> Development Review Proposal Deadline <br />– September 10, 2009 for <br /> <br />. <br />the November 12, 2009 public hearing before Planning Commission <br /> Boulder County Transportation Plan <br />– November 12, 2009 – <br /> <br /> <br />requested agenda item from Boulder County. <br />Staff briefly reviewed the above listed items. The Boulder County Transportation <br />th <br />Plan for the November 12 meeting is for discussion and information only, not a <br /> <br />public hearing. <br />Board Comments – <br />The Commissioners requested possible discussion of signage standards for <br />nd <br />downtown, as well as a review/ summary of the 2 meeting between Planning <br />Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />Hartman and Lipton discussed signage along South Boulder Road, specially the <br />banners and sandwich board style signs. <br />Staff clarified that Code Enforcement has been working with Staff as to how it is <br />best to address the non-confirming signs in that area. Staff expects a formal <br />letter of information from Code Enforcement to be sent to the property owners <br />and tenants before the October meeting. <br />Sheets discussed her concerns with the crosswalk at Washington and McCaslin. <br />She stated it is a very dangerous crosswalk area and she would like to see an <br />active presence of police officer patrol in the area. She also asked if stimulus <br />money might be available for an underpass in that area. <br />Staff stated they would discuss with Public Works staff the concerns for that <br />area, as well as what plans are in place for improvement of that crosswalk., i.e. <br />underpass. <br />Discussion items for the next meeting October 8, 2009 <br />No additional items brought forwarded. <br /> <br />
