Any determination of maximum floor area for <br />purposes of this section shall exclude the square footage of buildings owned by the city <br />at the time of such determination. <br />Section 2. Sec. 17.20.025. of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled "Parking <br />standards designated for Downtown Louisville" is hereby amended to read as follows <br />(changes are underlined) including the addition of the residential parking chart that follows: <br />A. Within Downtown Louisville, at the time of any building construction, expansion <br />or modification that creates additional floor area, off street parking spaces shall be <br />provided at a ratio of one parking space per 500 square feet of all non residential <br />new floor area rounded to nearest 500 square feet. Where residential square <br />footage is proposed, the parking requirements in the following table will be used; <br />Notes to Table 1: <br />1. Off street parking spaces located in an enclosed parking garage, including those <br />in an accessory residential garage shall not be counted toward the maximum <br />amount of spaces permitted. <br />2. On- street parking spaces abutting the property line(s) of the primary building <br />housing the use may be counted toward the required number of residential guest <br />parking spaces. <br />Section 3. Sec. 17.20.025 of the Louisville Municipal Code entitled "Parking <br />standards designated for Downtown Louisville" is hereby amended to add the following; <br />I. Credits and Reductions. <br />1. Credit for On- Street Parking. <br />On- street parking spaces abutting the property line(s) of a primary <br />nonresidential building may be credited toward meeting the minimum <br />required off street parking spaces. On- street parking spaces abutting the <br />property line(s) of a primary residential building may be counted toward <br />the required number of guest parking spaces only. On- street parking <br />allowed by this provision shall not be counted toward the maximum <br />amount of off street parking allowed. <br />2 <br />
